In 2000 I spent a week behind the scenes at the ESC, which then went into Stockholm Globe Arena. I discovered a place where hopes and dreams were born - a place where the artist wanted to be a star, office man to be a journalist, and where the journalist was hoping that tonight's party would beat last evening's record. This is my story from those crazy days that forever made me look at pop stunt with completely different eyes.
Glitter! Glamour! Fest, liquor, party, dance! It's Wednesday, the festival week is in its third day, and one could well say that we are at this point says it all with a smile, if it had been so long since stopped talking. What did you say? Huh?? VA?! No, we shout it all with a smile and the reason is that we are in an endless half-drunk at one of the many free parties which succeed each other during the week. Glitter! Glamour! Fest, liquor, party, dance! And so Thom sitting the client list lifetime in his white T-shirt and white jeans behind a pillar, obscured by what looks to be twenty German TV crew. But, honestly - there is something wrong with this picture. Thom, you've written the text to one of the favorites tipped entries in the Eurovision Song Contest and yet you are always alone! All other participants partying in a group, toasting, bawling and eager to appear before the cameras. the client list lifetime So why, yes - really - why are you sitting alone now for the third night in a row and drinking beer after beer while your country's the client list lifetime delegation: the client list lifetime recording artist, the client list lifetime songwriter, record label representatives, and video-mongers are out and are speaking in good much fancier places than this?
- If someone eats your food, it's wrong, is not it? says Thom and drink more of their beer and fingers on one of his three gaudy rings. I mean, if someone walks into your house, walk into the kitchen, open your freezer, take out your food and eat it ... it can not be right, right?
So Thom ordering another beer, turn the ring a few turns to and says he is ashamed the client list lifetime to tell you: he's totally ostracized from their country schlager delegation that he did not receive a backstage pass - it says PRESS / SVT on his name tag - that he did not even be let into the barn artist when his song will be sung in front of 100 million TV viewers. His mother calls him every day. As Thom says that everything is going well, everything is really, really, really fun. He does not mention that the brawl that started with other people translated his text - his text! - Into English the client list lifetime without asking him now stopped the client list lifetime in that he spends his time in Stockholm on bars, alone, half drunk and not a little bitter.
Glitter! Glamour! PARTY! SPIRIT! PARTY! DANCE! And so Thom and so all of us screaming with a smile. How amazing it is to be one of those supported in this pop tour, like every year for a few thousand people on a jerky and colorful journey through the countries of Europe - and how depressed it is not to be the one wearing the white jeans when the rest of the world dress in silver and gold.
Thom went to the Globe entitled "composer" on his business card. Now, think no longer on him when he tells you what he does, because it says "journalist" on his stomach. the client list lifetime Though he is not alone to have changed during the festival. There were many who came here with the title "journalist" on our business cards. After a few days in this world, we are something else entirely, the problem is that people still believe the client list lifetime in what we write.
Globe City, Schlager City. We are close to 800 journalists arriving at the Swedish the client list lifetime Television's events so far. After just a minute, the client list lifetime we get either black bag and in it are all SVT think we need to pass a week (this includes chocolate bars from the sponsor and tickets for free wine every day at Café Opera, which is the "official hang-out place "- something that is emphasized the client list lifetime by tvs before the program is broadcast from there).
Contest is a big media event in Sweden. But why is it really there? Probably because it is such a big event for journalists themselves. The combination of broad entertainment (for a large TV audience) and wild party (for the journalists who will cover the event) have time and again proved to be an unbeatable combination when it comes to creating media interest. "'Survivor', the Göteborg the client list lifetime Book Fair, sporting events, all are the small class trips where no teacher is present. Perhaps that is also why the average age of journalists the client list lifetime covering the song contest is so high - the younger entertainment reporters need no excuse to be allowed to party and they also have no wives and genuine men that they want to get away
