The first gift of the Holy Spirit is wisdom. But it is not merely human wisdom, which is the fruit of knowledge and experience. The Bible tells us that Solomon, at the time of his coronation as king of Israel, had asked the gift of wisdom (cf. 1 Kings 3.9). And wisdom is this: it is the grace of being able to see everything through the eyes of God. Wisdom is what the Holy Spirit in us so we see all things with the eyes of God. 'This is the gift of wisdom.
And of course this comes from intimacy with God, from the intimate relationship that we have with God, the ratio of children with the Father. And the Holy Spirit, when we have this report, gives us the gift of wisdom. When we are in communion with the Lord, the Holy Spirit is as if transfigured our hearts and did perceive all its warmth and its predilection.
The Holy Spirit makes the Christian then "wise." This, however, in that it has an answer for everything, who knows everything, but in the sense that "knows" God knows how does God know when something is of God and when it is not of God; has this wisdom that God gives to our hearts. The heart of the wise man in this sense has the taste and flavor of God. And how important is that in our communities there are Christians as well! Everything in their talk of God and become a beautiful and alive sign of his presence and his love. And this is something that we can not improvise, we can not get us from ourselves: it is a gift that God gives to those who make it obedient to the Holy Spirit. We have within us, in our hearts, the Holy Spirit; We listen, we can not hear him. If we listen to the Holy Spirit, He teaches us this way of wisdom, gives us the wisdom that you see with the eyes of God, to hear with the ears of God, to love with the heart of God, judge things with God's judgment the cathedral and the bazaar pdf . This is the wisdom that gives us the Holy Spirit, and we can all have it. Only, we must ask for the Holy Spirit.
Think of a mother, at her home, with the children, the cathedral and the bazaar pdf that when one does something the other do you think another, and the poor mother goes from side to side, with the problems of children. And when moms get tired and scream at their children, that is wisdom? Scold the children - I ask you - is wisdom? What you say is wisdom or not? No! Instead, when the mother takes the child and gently scolds him and tells him: "This is not done, why ...", and tells him so patiently, this is the wisdom of God? Yes! And 'what gives us the Holy Spirit in the life! Then, in marriage, for example, the couple - the groom and the bride - they fight, and then you look or not, if you look, you look at his face twisted: this is the wisdom of God? No! Instead, if he says: "Well, the storm has passed, we make peace," and they begin to move forward in peace: this is wisdom? [People: Yes!] Here, this is the gift of wisdom. To be at home, to be with the children, that is with all of us!
And this is not learned: this is a gift of the Holy Spirit. For this, we must ask the Lord to give us the Holy Spirit and give us the gift of wisdom, the cathedral and the bazaar pdf the wisdom of God that teaches us to look with the eyes of God, to feel with the heart of God, to speak with words of God. And so, with this wisdom, we go forward, we build the family, build the Church, and all we sanctify ourselves. Today we ask the grace of wisdom. E c
