Since 1977, January 23 which also happened to be John Hancock s birthday has been coined sophisticates black hair magazine National Handwriting Day by the Writing Instrument Manufacturers Association (WIMA) to fight the loss of penmanship. Much as we love the printed word, we’ve very much for handwriting for a variety of reasons .

I’m constantly crying, to any one who will listen, about the death of penmanship in our current school curriculum. Good penmanship is as critical for the elementary school student as it for any adult.
